TASK 1: Understand shading
NOTE:
Remember an example is just what it is, an "EXAMPLE". You may want to do it in your own way.
Click on an image to see a larger version.
Starter: Use the examples to practice your shading techniques with a drawing pencil.

Develop: Use the example to practice your shading techniques. You may want to use your drawing pencil as well as explore using colouring pencils.

Extend: Use the example to practice your shading techniques. You may want to use a range of drawing pencils as well as explore using water soluble colouring pencils.

Overlapping shapes: Use a shape to draw around. Let them overlap and add a range of shading. Try it with pencil first, then with colouring pencils and then a combination of both. What about a biro?
NOTE: Task 1 is a free session. If you would like to do Task 2, then click on the link and it will take you to the sign up page.
Overlapping shades: Fill your page with shapes, lines or cut out letters. Maybe your name? Let them overlap and add a range of shading. Use a combination of pencil and colouring pencils.
